Girl’s Gotta Do
Painting / photography piece. Southwark Park, London
Broken roof slate and coloured dust was recycled for the third time, creating a portal in Southwark Park, echoing some paintings that were taking place in the studio at the time.
Simone Koch, photographer, helped to photograph the live painting event.
When the installation commenced, Simone questioned making the piece right in the middle of the path. It was agreed, “a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do”.
The place that the temporary painting was made often had a sense of stillness.
